Greedings Friends

I’m living in Thessaloniki

I was student in Sofia 20 years ago
I’m visiting Sofia to remember beautiful Sofia and meeting friends.
10 months ago, I bought a Kamiq 1.5 DSG. Unfortunately in Greece we dond have the option to buy TSI 1.5 with manual gears, only DSG option.
Another information from Skoda Greece , is that they told me the the oil change must be done every year. Because of the Temperatures of Greece. What is the interval of oil change in BG?
That’s for my first post
Very interesting idea to welcome people from other countries !

Hey @andreas, as far as I know the very first oil change should be done rather early - around 5 to 8 thousand kilometres. After that you should be putting oil with the required VW specifications and change it every 30 000 km or 2 years, but I guess that this is for a bit colder climates. That's according to the Skoda dealership.

However it's better to change it more frequently unless you drive only on the motorway. Having in mind the temperatures in Greece I'd also suggest to change the oil and filters every year or every 15 thousand kilometres(10 if you're driving mainly in the city) in order to keep the engine and yourself healthier :)

That's not only the reason to replace it every year.Rather a properties of modern engine oils leads to this conclusion.Basically a makers assumes that in this one year an owner of the car will turn approximately a 30000 km.In my opinion best prаctice is like my coleague mentioned ditto - Either 15 k km. or annually(whichever is first).Such an replacement intervals will make yourself enjoing your Camiq longer and trouble free :)

Basically you'd have to follow the dealership's recommendations in order to keep your 5 year warranty. Or you can go shorter intervals if you wish, but never longer ones, at least not by much. Most new Skodas in Bulgaria come out of the showroom with a flexible 30 000 km or two-year intervals - whichever comes first, but people in this forum would generally recommend to keep them much shorter. I just follow the dealership's recommendations, but then again, I drive a company car that I don't plan on keeping for longer than 5 years, and even if I have to for some reason, the company would have to cover the repairs...so you get my point.
